Love Village,
We are excited to invite you to a live online event in partnership with Blavity to support my latest project, Jill Scott presents J.ill, my weekly podcast. Since November, my sister-friends Laiya St. Clair, Aja Graydon and I have released a new episode each week on all of your favorite podcast platforms.
We continue to have no-holds barred conversations on topics around relationships, culture, health, art and everything else that comes with surviving and thriving as a Black woman in today’s world.
In honor of Black Maternal Health, this week’s episode is “F*** an Urgent Care.” Medicine is a practice. But be careful practicing on Black women, because "fire burn." This week is a sensitive conversation about what Black women face when dealing with many medical professionals. In our "What's on Your Heart?" segment, actor, comedian, and author Michelle Buteau joins the ladies for a candid conversation about her experience in coloring outside the medical lines.
This important conversation around Black Maternal Health deserves more airtime, so join us and our media partner Blavity for a free live virtual after show with the J.ill hosts this Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at 8pm ET. A few lucky winners will even get to ask the ladies a question.
Register to attend and for a chance to ask the ladies a question
Be SURE to listen to the episode in advance (to be released on Wednesday, April 14th) of the live event . Listen to the podcast here.
